What a year 2021 has been!
We have been very busy all year at Burgex enhancing our services, adding new equipment, and rounding out our team. 2021 has been a year of growth with a strong focus on better understanding our clients’ needs so we can continue to serve them beyond claim staking and early exploration.
We Built a Geology Department
With the addition of James Balagna and Jake Alexander to the team, we now have in-house capabilities to assist our clients with a wide range of geological services – from mapping and exploration program management through resource modeling and writing Ni-43-101 technical reports.
We Purchased New Technology
We now have a true enterprise level drone system with the DJI M300 along with an expanded suite of software options to process and model collected data. Earlier in 2021 we purchased a Hitachi XRF unit and have spent a significant amount of time tuning it and training our team to put it to productive use.
The Exyn PAK LiDAR scanner give us the cutting-edge ability to scan surface and underground mining projects with incredible resolution and accuracy in real time.
We Bolstered Support for the Landman Department
We have added to our roster of qualified field technicians to support projects ranging from soil sampling to claim staking. We added a full-time field specialist to support our landman and field manager in both planning and preparing projects in the office and executing them in the field. The landman team also has an additional ATV, Toyota Tundra (we officially have a fleet!), and utility trailer.
Added Sales & Business Development Director
Mr. Bill Schnieders joined the Burgex team in 2021 and has been assisting our clients throughout the year. He has been drinking through a fire hose but has quickly been able to find ways in which we can better serve our clients. We also added a new Finance Director with Chris Guenther joining our team at the end of November.
We Wrote, Staked, and Filed over 4,000 Mining Claims (~80,000 acres) on Behalf of Clients
With projects ranging from Oregon to Arizona to South Dakota and almost every state in-between. Most of these projects consisted of lode claims, but there was a significant amount of placer claims staked as well.
Our Team Produced over 80 Different Market Analysis, Geological, Engineering, and Valuation Reports for Our Clients
These reports ranged from due diligence for financing activities to writing Ni-43-101 reports / producing PEA level reports to value potential mining projects. These reports span commodities from copper through phosphate, cobalt, and construction aggregates.
We Collected Thousands of Chip Samples
The Burgex team and field technicians collected thousands of soil and chip samples from projects across the Western United States.
We Attended the MINExpo in Las Vegas, NV
As the largest mining show on earth, the MINExpo in Las Vegas, NV is not to be missed – and fortunately, this year we made it! We had a booth at the show and handed out hundreds of our iconic Little Red Trucks.
We Partnered with Rock Products Magazine to Produce 2022 Print and Digital Aggregate Producer’s Atlas
Utilizing our new Mineralocity Aggregates market analysis platform, the Rock Products Magazine 2022 Aggregate Producer’s Atlas will have a digital interactive version.
We Georeferenced and Audited Data for All 7000+ Commercial Scale Stone, Sand & Gravel Producers in the United States.
As part of developing Mineralocity Aggregates, we reached a major milestone this year in georeferencing and auditing location data for all commercial stone, sand & gravel producers in the United States. Most of this work was completed by our newest GIS Technician, Savannah Bommarito.
We look forward to continuing to improve and better serve our clients in 2022 and beyond!
